Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working person to join there team.
They will be responsible for managing renewable energy installation projects.
This will include system design work, equipment ordering, site staff organisation and
project planning. They will also deal with customer enquiries and quotations.
A person with an engineering or building services degree (or equivalent
experience) is sought. Whilst the person will not be working on site, they need
to develop a thorough understanding of practical work. Knowledge/experience of
the UK building industry, practical aspects of heating or electrical installations
and of AutoCAD as well as relevant health and safety training would be an
advantage.
Job Purpose
Management of projects and proposal preparation under supervision; assistance to other Project Engineers when required.
Key Activities
- To manage and implement projects under supervision.
- To prepare quotations as required by prospective customers under supervision.
- To deal with customer enquiries.
- To promote business.

Role overview: To be the technical subject matter expert for all elements of solar photovoltaic installation technical design.
To develop and deliver the technical management strategy in support of, and contributing to the overall business strategy, operations and commercial objectives.
The Technical Director will lead a team of highly skilled technical designers. The Technical Director will be highly experienced in technical design, creating solutions, due diligence, system design, construction management, Distribution Network Operator liaison, local authority liaison and acceptance testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical design of large commercial solar photovoltaic installations.
- Technical design of large scale domestic solar photovoltaic installations.
- Participate in site permitting application process and construction.
- Liaise with Distribution Network Operators as required.
